Senior PHP Developer-Software Engineer

Location: Zabbix Headquarters, Riga, Latvia

As a part of our team you will:

• Develop and provide technical standards and guidance in all software design and development activities
• Support and facilitate in maintenance and upgrades of existing software applications
• Write high quality and easily maintainable code according to company guidelines
• Provide code reviews and give technical recommendations
• Support the whole software development life cycle
• Mentor and train software engineers
• Play an active role in shaping the architecture of the system, contributing to its evolution
• Design and implement tests to ensure code quality and reliability
• Evaluate new technologies for product and productivity improvement

What we expect:

• Ability to participate in design discussions collaboratively with Architects and Developers and ability to understand requirements, overall solution, high level design, common services & frameworks and contribute to estimation of user stories
• Working experience in a similar position 5+ years
• Excellent knowledge of PHP, SQL, HTML, JavaScript, CSS
• Knowledge of PHPUnit and Selenium will be considered an advantage
• Proven track record in developing high-load services, showcasing your ability to build robust and scalable solutions
• Previous experience in IT architecture solutions and preparation of technical specifications
• Previous experience with other programming languages is desirable
• High sense of responsibility and ability to work in a team
• Outstanding analytical skills
• Very good knowledge of technical English; Latvian on conversational level

Compensation:

• Monthly salary (gross): 3500.00 to 5000.00 EUR
